Jason and His Argonauts On Tour

Colourful standing sculpture split vertically between a stylised cartoon figure and an exposed anatomical form, displayed indoors against stone walls and tall windows.

Jason and his Argonauts On Tour was an Arts Council funded exhibition by disabled artist, Jason Wilsher-Mills.

For this exhibition, Jason worked with disabled communities around the UK to tell the stories of these geographically diverse groups, mixed with tales of his own experiences.

The centre piece of the exhibition was a 10m long inflatable sculpture which visitors could walk through. This sculpture featured people’s stories from the Changing Places Movement – a campaign calling for fully accessible toilets to be installed in all large public venues throughout the UK.
