Claude Monet KS1 and KS2 (arts)

Children explore watercolours, learn about Monet and Impressionism, and paint their own waterlily inspired artwork..

In this workshop, children will start with an exploration of watercolours and how they behave before using their skills to create a background based on Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. They will then be introduced to the impressionist movement and learn more about the work of Claude Monet and his most popular paintings. They will complete their own watercolour continuing to take inspiration from Monet’s water lilies image.
